Forty years after the release of the original Beverly Hills Cop, Eddie Murphy is set to reprise his iconic role as Axel Foley in a fourth installment of the beloved action comedy franchise. The film, titled Axel F, is scheduled for release in 2024 and will also feature Judge Reinhold, Kevin Bacon, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

In Axel F, Foley returns to Beverly Hills after his daughter's life is threatened. He teams up with her to investigate the case and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The film is directed by Mark Molloy and written by Will Beall, Tom Gormican, and Kevin Etten. Murphy is also producing the film alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman.
