A couple from Essex are celebrating after winning £100,000 on the McDonald's Monopoly game.

Sarah and Dean were stunned when they discovered they had won the top prize after collecting a peel-off sticker from their local McDonald's restaurant.

Sarah said: "I could not believe it when I saw the sticker. I scanned it on the app and it said I had won £100,000. I didn't believe it until I saw the money hit my account."

The couple, who have two young children, plan to spend their winnings on family holidays and home improvements.

Sarah said: "This is a life-changing amount of money for us. We're going to enjoy it and make some memories with our children."

McDonald's Monopoly is a popular game that has been running in the UK for over 30 years.
